How It Works
- You send a request through our form (or by phone at (843) 608-8793) with your location, the job and how soon you need it.
- We review it and, with your consent, may share it with an independent tree company that serves your area. Requests are stored securely until then.
- A company may contact you to see the job and give you a quote. We can't guarantee that a company will respond, or when. You deal with them directly. Price, scheduling, permits and the work are between you and them.
- You decide. There's no obligation to hire anyone.
What we are, and what we're not
- We are a free referral service and a source of local information, with official sources linked.
- We are not a tree contractor. We don't remove, trim or grind anything, don't employ arborists, and aren't licensed, bonded or insured as a tree service company.
- We don't guarantee any company's work, prices, availability, licensing or insurance.
How we're paid
Our service is free to homeowners. We may be compensated by the tree companies we refer you to. That never changes what you pay us, which is nothing.
Vet any company before you hire
- Get it in writing. Ask for a written quote that says what's included: cutting, hauling, cleanup, stump grinding and who pulls any permit.
- Check insurance yourself. Ask for a current certificate of insurance (general liability and workers' compensation) and call the insurer to confirm it's active. Garden City requires tree removal contractors to be licensed, bonded and insured,1 and Thunderbolt's ordinance sets minimum insurance for contractors.2
- Verify credentials. If someone says they're an ISA Certified Arborist, check the ISA credential lookup.3
- Get more than one quote for non-emergency work, and be cautious of anyone asking for full payment before work starts.
Check local permit rules too: permit guide · areas.
